The location is quiet, with the rooms spread across an acre of nicely maintained garden. We did not eat dinner at the restaurant but it looked very nice, with pardilla and ala carte selections. The breakfast was good - bread, cheese, ham, croissants, lassi, cereal, etc. The room was clean, but basic, with a double bed, a bunk bed, safe, TV, WiFi, desk. The staff was friendly, and spoke a little English. The hotel will book a taxi to town for about 35 pesos. Bus to Las Cataratas 25p / person, or 100p by taxi. (But see below.) We would have been happy to stay much more than the one night.
The location is about 1 km from Ruta 12, the main hotel strip, and the last 200 or so meters is rough dirt road. A bit inconvenient to walk to 12 for the bus, difficult if you have a trolley bag, and sticky mud if it rains.

Good size rooms, clean and tidy. The hole complex is in the middle of plants, geese, birds and a peacock. Good beakfast and service.
the address is not explained properly. There is not enough signs in the highway.

We enjoyed a nice clean, new, basic hotel that was close to all of the most popular actvities in the area, yet still retained the local character of the area. The children enjoyed swimming in the pool and watching the ducks, geese, and peacock. The staff were friendly and helpful.
If you don't have a car you will need to take a taxi everywhere as the hotel is a little isolated and there is nothing nearby to safely walk to.

The staff was friendly and always helped with what we needed. The place itself is great - with a big swimmingpool and pieceful surrounding.
Breakfast was not up to the expectations - very little choice. Could use bigger signs on the road to better spot the place.

Very friendly helpful staff, slightly out of town but drivers available at very reasonable cost for lifts to the falls and into town

La Cautiva Lodge is beautiful, set in the wild countryside about 10 mins outside Puerto Iguazu town. It is still in its early stages of development as only opened in 2012, so a few teething problems with internet and paying by credit card, but otherwise the two-storey family rooms are beautiful, with a lounge/kitchenette downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. All nicely decorated with well functioning air conditioning! Staff are extremely friendly and will organize trips to the Brazilian and Argentinian sides of the falls as well as airport transfers etc. Restaurant has basic food but very good in a lovely setting amongst mango trees. Well stocked wine cellar is much appreciated. Gardens great for kids to run around with ducks and frogs, lime trees, pineapples growing etc. Perfect for families, couples etc. Pool is very nice and much appreciated after a hot day at the falls.

Pretty and relaxing. Good pool.
It was very difficult to find. The address on the website is rn12 which is inaccurate. There ought to be some description as to how to get there as it is not obvious and the road looks unlikely. Also the breakfast was dreadful.

It is located just a short taxi ride from the city (ars 27) it is quiet, relaxing, has some animals roaming around in a fenced area. It is family friendly with lots of trees and plants. Right place to stay while visiting Iguazu as the city itself is busy.
